A gunman shot<\/a> dead 50 people and wounded more than 40 at two New Zealand mosques recently, some as they were kneeling at prayer, live streaming online some of the killings.<\/p>\n

According to Reuters<\/a>, the gunman broadcast footage of the attack on one mosque in the city of Christchurch on Facebook, mirroring the carnage played out in video games, after publishing a 74-page \u201cmanifesto\u201d in which he denounced immigrants, calling them \u201cinvaders\u201d.<\/p>\n

One man who said he was at the Al Noor mosque<\/a> told media the gunman was white, blond and wearing a helmet and a bulletproof vest. The man burst into the mosque as worshippers were kneeling for prayers. \u201cHe had a big gun…He came and started shooting everyone in the mosque, everywhere,\u201d said the man.<\/p>\n

There are many debates about the cause of such terrorist operations, as well as the dual approach of the West on the phenomenon of terrorism. It should be noted that the tragic incident in New Zealand and the racist white assault on Muslims in the two mosques reveal the hypocritical face of the West. The people who committed these terrorist attacks are affected by the new racist atmosphere in the West.<\/p>\n

What is clear is that after the September 11, 2001 incident, over the past two decades, large-scale white extremist currents have been formed in Europe and the United States, the purpose of which is to expel Muslims from these countries. Unfortunately, the right-wing and extremist parties in the Western countries are playing a major role in the escalation of Islamophobia in Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the New Zealand incident exposed the dual position of the West about terrorism. In the literature of the Western countries, a type of terrorism compatible with the interests of America and Europe is good terrorism and terrorism which targets the interests of the West is bad terrorism. In this regard, the events that have taken place in recent years in European countries can be noted. During these events, European governments categorically called the Muslims terrorists and condemned the phenomenon, but in the New Zealand attacks and even in incidents in Syria and Iraq we see the Western countries remain mum. Also, the Western media refuse to describe the brutal attacks on the New Zealand mosques terrorist acts.<\/p>\n

In the classification of countries in the face of terrorism, one can say the United States<\/a>, Britain<\/a>, France<\/a>, Germany<\/a>, the Netherlands and Belgium are the states that have strongly contributed to the escalation of Islamophobia. In the New Zealand incident, the media of these countries were not ready to describe the attackers on two mosques terrorism.<\/p>\n

Also, over the past years, we have witnessed dual approaches by the West regarding the menacing phenomenon of ISIS<\/a>; while Europe and the US are behind the creation of ISIS and some terrorist groups such as Al-Nusra Front, Jaish al-Islam, Al-Tawhid Brigade and Faylaq al-Rahman. Saudi Arabia too has acted in line with the US and the West in financing these terrorist groups.<\/p>\n

Reports show that Saudi Arabia has spent $60 billion on terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq over the last eight years on behalf of the United States and Europe. Israel too has played an important role by supplying intelligence and espionage data. It should be noted that the purpose of Europe behind creating these terrorist groups is to exacerbate the atmosphere of Islamophobia. It seems that they have been acting very intelligently with a precise roadmap aimed at the escalation of Islamophobia and creation of restrictions for Muslims living in Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n

In the historical analysis of the phenomenon of terrorism, Britain after the First World War played a very important role in the formation of Jewish terrorist groups in Occupied Palestine. Since 1920, when BBC Radio was launched, efforts have been made to level charges against the Palestinians and exonerating Zionist terrorist groups. The BBC played an active role in broadcasting the codes it received from the British Foreign Ministry. The BBC published news in a way to portray Palestinians Muslims as terrorists and the Jews as innocent.<\/p>\n

So, for nearly nine decades, the European and American media have never used the term “terrorist” for the Zionists. During this time, the Associated Press, the United Press International, the Agence France Presses and Reuters did not use the term terrorist for Zionist extremist movements that perpetrated the crimes in “Deir Yassin\u201d and \u201cKafar Qasem.” These major international news agencies would never use the term “terrorist” for the most brutal acts committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinians and instead of condemning these savage attacks they would simply regret that they have occurred and describe them as armed attacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
