Since March 2011, when the Syrian crisis began, the Hamas Movement, with a wrong perception of the process of developments, and unlike the Islamic Jihad Movement and the People\u2019s Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the \u201cGeneral Command\u201d led by the late Ahmed Jibril, who were on the side of the Syrian government, took the wrong path. But finally, after nearly 12 years of mediation by the Algerian revolutionary government, a meeting was held between all the leaders of the Palestinian combatant movements in Algeria, whose output was the issuance of the statement of national reconciliation and formation of a joint campaign front against the Zionist regime.<\/p>\n
One of the conditions of the Algerian government to cooperate and help the struggle of the Palestinian people is the reopening of the Hamas offices in Damascus and establishment of a new relationship with the Syrian government. In a new change of approach towards Bashar al-Assad\u2019s government, the Hamas leaders went to Damascus and held a sincere and conciliatory meeting with the Syrian president.<\/p>\n
The reason for this change of approach is the failure of the Palestinian Authority\u2019s policies in negotiations with the Zionist regime; because Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, is inclined to interact with Palestinian jihadist movements due to that failure. Hamas is also trying to restore its struggle, which has been in trouble for the past decade due to the dispute with Bashar al-Assad\u2019s government. On the other hand, Syria is one of the few Arab countries that never compromised with the Zionist regime.<\/p>\n
The policy of the Syrian government is also quite clear and has always been, and is, that it never rejects the hand of friendship from others, even if they have had a hostile stance towards Syria in the past, and is ready to establish relations with its yesterday\u2019s enemies. Therefore, after the meeting of the leaders of Hamas with Bashar al-Assad, it was decided that the offices of Hamas in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Latakia, Syria, would be opened and the activities of the Islamic movement in Syria would be resumed as the main base of the struggle against the Zionist regime. With such measure, the campaign ring of the Palestinian militant movements in Syria and Lebanon will be completed and the way will be paved for the re-formation of the campaign belt in the Axis of Resistance. Also, in such an atmosphere, the siege ring of the Zionist regime inside the occupied lands and the Axis of Resistance will become tighter; because Syria is considered as the main center of convergence and cooperation of the common front of the Palestinian and Lebanese militant Islamic and national movements. Therefore, the region, especially the occupied territories, will witness a new joint field of struggle by the Palestinian militant movements against the Zionist regime in the future, in which case Israel will suffer serious damage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
