Today, the President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations (SCFR), at the conference titled \u201cInternational Law under Assault, Aggression, and Defense,\u201d held at the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), stated: \u201cThe Iranian spirit of \u201cWe Can\u201d has enabled them to achieve self-reliance in defending the country and national resilience against foreign interventions,\u201d adding: \u201cIran has demonstrated that it will not make any compromise on its independence; unlike countries that put their independence up for auction under foreign pressure, Iran will never submit.\u201d<\/p>\n
Referring to the fact that Saddam Hussein never accepted responsibility for his aggression against Iran, while Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has assumed responsibility for supplying lethal weapons to the Zionist regime and for the 12-day war against Iran, he said Donald Trump\u2019s recent statement that \u201cIsrael attacked first. This attack was very powerful. I was responsible for it.\u201d constitutes an irrefutable document of direct American involvement in aggression against Iran, and consequently, they carry legal and political consequences for the U.S. government, and Iran considers itself legitimate to claim reparations from the United States for material and human losses.<\/p>\n
SCFR President said: \u201cUndoubtedly, the United States and the Zionist regime, which initiated this illegal war, must pay reparations. Therefore, if any negotiation takes place between Iran and the United States, the first requirement must be that the United States answer: On what legal basis did it commit this aggression? And thus, it will inevitably have to pay reparations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Emphasizing that \u201cthe Islamic Republic of Iran has always demonstrated throughout its history that it is ready to negotiate with others based on equality and mutual respect,\u201d he added: \u201cMeanwhile, the U.S. government has always resorted to economic pressure, political threats, and even military aggression to achieve its illegitimate objectives\u2014a stance that every Iranian finds utterly unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr. Kharazi said: \u201cThe problem lies in the inexperience of Trump and his team; we witnessed this recently in the days leading up to the Iraqi elections. The U.S. Secretary of War behaved rudely and threateningly toward Iraqis regarding the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the result was that 59.11% of the population participated in the election, and revolutionary forces won many parliamentary seats.\u201d<\/p>\n
SCFR President emphasized: \u201cGuns cannot eliminate the will of nations; therefore, Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah, and the Popular Mobilization Forces cannot be eliminated.\u201d<\/p>\n
Finally, Dr. Kharazi addressed this recommendation to Trump: \u201cJust as your predecessors experienced Iranian resistance and were forced to sit at the real negotiating table with Iran, you too must adopt a respectful and positive approach toward Iran to witness its results.
