He continued: \u201cArms sales and direct military support to Taiwan\u2019s government, along with increased political threats and economic sanctions, reflect Washington\u2019s strategy to escalate the crisis.\u201d
\nBashiri explained: \u201cThis policy is by no means confined to Taiwan\u2019s internal affairs; its effects will also be felt across East Asia and among Taiwan\u2019s neighboring countries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bashiri stated: \u201cThe second Trump administration is attempting to exert maximum pressure on China through economic and military tools to gain strategic leverage in future negotiations. After Trump and Xi Jinping\u2019s recent meeting and efforts to conclude a bilateral tariff agreement, this strategic dominance has become even more important for Washington.\u201d
\nHe added: \u201cAt the same time, this trend is creating a reinforcing cycle of escalation that could affect energy security, regional economies, and the political stability of neighboring nations.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. Influence on the Approach of Surrounding Countries<\/strong><\/p>\n

The East Asia analyst stated: \u201cNot only is the second Trump administration seeking to intensify tensions regarding Taiwan, but China\u2019s neighboring countries, under U.S. management, are also trying to inflame the crisis.\u201d
\nHe explained: \u201cA recent example can be seen in Japan\u2019s policies, where the sale of advanced American weapons to Taiwan and remarks by Sanae Takaichi, the newly elected prime minister of Tokyo, have heightened tensions with Beijing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThese actions are not merely reactions to China\u2019s threats; they are part of a coordinated strategy aimed at pressuring Beijing and maintaining U.S. capabilities in East Asia.\u201d
\nBashiri emphasized: \u201cWashington is leveraging its allies around China\u2014including Japan and other regional states\u2014to increase diplomatic and military pressure on Beijing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cStatements by Japan\u2019s prime minister about the possibility of a military response to China\u2019s threat in Taiwan reflect this strategy, coordinated with Washington and intended as a clear warning to Beijing.\u201d

Bashiri stated: \u201cDespite this fragile moment, Xi Jinping possesses the necessary prudence to prevent Taiwan from turning into an example similar to Ukraine.\u201d
\nHe explained: \u201cBeijing is trying, through precise political, economic, and military management, to control the crisis and prevent it from escalating into a direct war.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stressed: \u201cChina\u2019s warnings to Japan and other countries that they would face severe and crushing defeat in the event of intervention demonstrate Beijing\u2019s high deterrence capability and the seriousness of China\u2019s defensive policies. These actions, coupled with active diplomacy, can keep the region\u2019s security dynamics balanced and prevent a full-scale crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n
