Iran’s Unique Resistance versus the Sanctions

Strategic Council Online: Amara Essy, former foreign minister of the Ivory Coast who is in Tehran to attend the Islamic Unity Conference met Dr. Kamal Kharrazi, President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional issues, attempts to weaken Africa in today’s world and bilateral relations.

Essy said Iran has been a frontrunner in the fight against apartheid and has played an important part in fighting African colonialism.

He added: “As Iran enjoys a rich civilization, it has succeeded in resisting the sanctions and pressures of the past few decades, while such resistance is impossible for other developing countries.”

He also condemned the participation of some African countries in the coalition against the Yemeni people.
