Strategic Council Online: Dr. Seyyed Kamal Kharazi, the President of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, who traveled to Iraq, gave a speech at Al Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in Baghdad on Monday, June 29, 1402, attended by nearly one hundred Iraqi experts and professors. He explained the views and strategic positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in foreign policy and answered the attendees' questions.

In his speech, referring to the deep historical, cultural, religious, and civilizational commonalities between Iran and Iraq, he explained the fields of cooperation between the two countries. He described Iraq as a golden bridge connecting Iran to the Arab world.

The President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations considered the growth and development of Iran and Iraq to be in the same direction and said that the strategic cooperation of the two countries in the political, economic, scientific, and cultural fields would also contribute to the peace and stability of the region.

In response to a question from one of the audience, Dr. Kharazi considered the Zionist regime to be in its weakest historical condition and said that the regime’s attempt to normalize relations with the countries of the region is actually to get out of the blockade imposed by the resistance movement.
