Strategic Council Online: Dr. Seyed Kamal Kharazi, the President of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, congratulated the appointment of Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The full text of the message is as follows:

Mr. Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi

Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs

 

I congratulate Your Excellency on your appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and on obtaining the vote of confidence of the majority of the honorable representatives of the Parliament. I hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under your leadership and rich experience, takes effective measures in line with the goals of the Islamic Revolution and the national interests of our country. Your Excellency’s presence in the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations as its secretary, had a significant role in formulating, revising, and adjusting the foreign relations strategies, to be proposed to the Supreme Leader of Revolution, as well as your guiding the council’s operational programs. It was an opportunity for your Excellency, to play your role beyond the foreign policy domain, in other dimensions of our foreign relations. This experience will undoubtedly be valuable for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I pray to Almighty God and wish you full success in this important responsibility that you have taken.
