Iran Stands United against American Pressures

Strategic Council Online: President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Dr. Kamal Kharrazi says Iranians stand united against US pressures and “we are trying to overcome these problems with due regard to our resources and facilities, the assistance of the friendly countries as well as mechanisms being formulated by the European Union.”

The SCFR president who is visiting Austria, in a meeting with the country’s political elites, analyzed the regional issues and relations between Iran and Europe.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament, the former Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense, some Austrian and European parliamentarians and heads of political and international research institutes.

After Kharrazi’s comments, current and former political and academic figures in Austria expressed their views on the developments in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran-European relations, as well as the impact of the sanctions on Iran’s economy and how the Iranian government tackles these issues. Kharrazi provided answers to all the questions.

The SCFR president stated that, despite the current problems caused mainly by the US sanctions, the Iranian people stand united against American pressures and they try to overcome these problems by using domestic resources and facilities, the assistance of the friendly countries as well as mechanisms being devised by the EU.
