Dr Seyed Kamal Kharrazi, president of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, issued a commemorative message on the occasion of the death of the late Kofi Annan.
The text is as follows:
The death of the former secretary general of the United Nations, the late Mr Kofi Annan, has come to a sorrow. He was a prominent international figure who maintained his integrity and independence as secretary general, and, after completing his responsibilities, also played a major role in resolving international crises.
